Style: American-Style Fruited Sour Ale 

Raíces Caribbean Series Kettle is a a series of fruited kettle sour beers, showcasing different tropical fruits in a year round rotation. Our kettle sours have been soured with unconventional yeasts like micro organisms that gives the beer their  tangy bite.  The beers on this series are fairly approachable, crisp, tangy and with a balanced complexity that is expressed as a refreshing, pleasant sourness. In this version we used Guanábana (Soursop) fruit. Soursop (also graviola, guyabano, and in Hispanic America, guanábana) is the fruit of Annona muricata, a broadleaf, flowering, evergreen tree. The exact origin is unknown; it is native to the tropical regions of the Americas and the Caribbean and is widely propagated. The fruit’s fibrous white flesh, which combines the flavours of mango and pineapple can be eaten fresh and is strained to make custards, ice creams, and drinks. This beer pairs well with “ceviche”, salads, fish, strong cheeses and meat cold cuts, among other options.
