¡Cultura Viva! Live Music Broadcast & Virtual Event

part of Colorado Contamos Contigo- Census 2020 Series

Join KGNU, Raíces Brewing Co, and Barrio E’ for ¡Cultura Viva! Live Music Broadcast on Saturday, June 27 featuring a live performance with Los Mocochetes, debuting their new single “Rocks.”, preceded by tunes from DJ Javi B.

Los Mocochetes is a Xican@ Funk band from Denver, CO. This colorful cast of characters fuses thoughtfully brazen, socio/politically charged song lyrics, groovilicious melodies, and high-energy stage antics to create an immersive experience, unlike anything you've ever seen before. Much like a machete, which can be used either as a tool to build or a weapon to kill, they have chosen to use their music to inspire and encourage positive social change. Every show is different, but it’s always a dance party!

This event is FREE. Group registration is required, with a minimum of five and a maximum of eight at each table. Please register by June 24 by clicking the RESERVE button. Families welcome, ages 12 and over. You must wear a mask.

¡Cultura Viva! Is made possible in part by a grant from the Denver Music Advancement Fund through the City of Denver, Denver Arts & Venues, Steam on the Platte, Census 2020, and Councilwoman Jamie Torres of District 3; including Community Collaborators Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center.
