BILINGUAL SERVERS

Raíces Brewing Company is looking to hire part-time Bilingual (Spanish-English) Servers to support Raíces’ vision, values and culture, while providing a proactive and positive attitude with Raíces team and guests.

 

Servers are responsible for providing genuine-respectful hospitality and exceeding guest expectations, exceling community engagement, in addition to providing education about craft beer and beer styles to visitors.


Servers will be reporting directly to the Taproom Manager or supervisor assigned. This position is a part time job with an expected workload between 15-32 hours per week. Schedules are subject to change depending on programming and scheduling requirements. Main hours will be after 7 a.m., afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Excellent Guest Services. 

  • Maintain a proper taproom experience and ensuring items are delivered timely, 

customer needs are fulfilled, stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest 

experience.

  • Right use of POS (Arryved or any other platform used at the time).

  • TIPS Certified is a requirement. We provide information on how to get the certification online.

  • Serve beverages correctly and follow the guidelines. Beverages includes: alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, beers, cocktails, spirits, and more.

  • Serve food and items related to food appropriately, making sure the quality and the serving of food is proper. Cleanliness of the areas we serve food and how we serve them is essential. Follow guidelines.   

  • Maintain All Areas Clean (including Front of the House, Patios, Back of the House, Fridge, Employee area, Bathrooms, Building Surrounding areas, Picnic area, Parking area, and any other area assigned). Occasional cleaning of windows, garage doors, doors, among other items are required (Raíces Maintenance).

  • Team work (having each other’s back). 

  • Open Communication among the team, supervisors and all administrators is expected.

  • Maintain and assist on Occasional Inventory (e.g. apparel, Items for sale, and glassware), and add item numbers to POS.

  • Clean all glassware and equipment related to food and beverages. 

  • Fold and reload towels, and any item needed at the bar. 

  • Fold and reload apparel and shop.  

  • Stay updated on current menu choices, features and menu deviations.

  • Learn all products available to provide the right information to our visitors and colleagues.

  • Manage appropriate Latin music in the Taproom or music assigned for that day depending on programming. Inappropriate music for families and kids is not permitted. 

  • Receive deliveries and notify supervisors with specifics (eg. product, # of boxes or items, etc ).

  • Responsible for occasional inventory of products, supplies.

  • Responsible for Raices store merchandise stocking, upkeep and good presentation.

  • Responsible for upkeep of natural plants and cleanliness and presentation of synthetic plants, while reporting any damages.

  • All servers are responsible for reporting any incidents and damages related to visitors, team members or the facility in their shifts. This includes suspicious behaviors within our facilities and its immediate surroundings. Reports should be made by email and chat. In case of emergencies, get a hold of your immediate supervisor. 

  • Responsible for learning cocktails preparations and proper serving.

 

Required Qualifications:

BILINGUAL BICULTURAL MARKETING ASSOCIATE


Raíces Brewing Company is looking to hire a Part-Time Bilingual and Bicultural Marketing Associate (BBMA) to support the company’s vision, programming, and pillars: Community, Culture and Cerveza using both languages Spanish and English.


The BBMA accomplishes communications and presentation of our brand, creates a variety of digital external and internal marketing and communication projects, manages social media postings, creates website content and management, press releases, documents needed for public relations and outreach, present and analyze marketing strategies to engage the general community with Raíces, and creates beautiful and
intentional reports, scripts, documents and emails as needed.
 
The Part-Time Marketing Associate will be reporting directly to the COO and work in tandem with the Raíces team and administration to perpetuate a positive and proactive work culture. The position is created with a creative, problem-solving, fast-paced and problem-solver personality in mind with an expected work load of approx. 20 hours per week.


Schedules are subject to change depending on programming requirements during week days and weekends. Time flexibility, reachability and availability are required for this position at all times, in addition to be creative, open minded and able to receive inputs and feedback from supervisor and administrators.
 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create written and visual content and manage organization’s social media efforts. This includes but is not limited to managing social media content and daily posting on multiple social media platforms;

TAPROOM SHIFT MANAGER

 

​The Taproom Shift Manager (TSM) oversees Raíces Front of the House needs and employees. TSM needs to align and implement Raíces’ vision, values and culture support, while providing a safe, proactive and positive environment among Raíces Team and space. The TSM is responsible for managing daily taproom operations at the Brewery, including beer and service processes, optimize sales and profits, develop SOPs and manuals, equipment oversight, inventory, supplies, effective training, interviews potential Front of the House employees, development and performance of team members, payroll, and any other task related to effectively cover Taproom needs. In addition, TSM ensures guest satisfaction and the Raíces experience is delivered by management and team members providing genuine-respectful hospitality while exceeding guest expectations.

 

TSM is supervised and will be reporting directly to the VP of Development and will be evaluated by the supervisor and co-owners at Raíces Brewing Co. The TSM works in tandem with the VP of Development, other Taproom Managers and ownership team to perpetuate an ethical, positive and proactive work culture. This position is very demanding with an expected work ranging form 25-32 hours per week. Schedules are subject to change depending on programming requirements. Hours will vary each week and weekend. Hours can happen during the day, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Taproom Manager: 

  • Coordinates, directs and manages day-to-day taproom operations, and enforces policies. 

  • Has the ability to work a flexible schedule especially during afternoons, evenings and weekends.

  • Acts as an ambassador for visiting brewers, wholesale partners, retailers and others.

  • Represents Raíces and its products in a fashion that communicates the brewery’s passion for quality, knowledge, and customer service at all times.

  • Analyzes taproom performance and provides measurements and solutions to ensure continued growth.

  • Embraces leading a solid team to improve, trains and develops them to excel in their roles and continuously improves; motivates crew members to exceed expectations of the guests; passionately upholds and elevates a positive work environment for guests and visitors.

  • Cultivates strong relationships within the organization, community-at-large, community groups, institutions, other organizations, community leaders and individuals. The position is actively involved in the local community and builds strong relationships with local officials, businesses, community leaders, and guests.

  • Handles tours and communication of groups visiting the taproom. Provides information about Raíces importance and pillars by going to tables and creates/builds relationships with guests and visitors.

  • Encourages ownership, accountability, integrity, value, respect and communication within Raíces crew members.

  • Manages and is responsible for taproom maintenance, service, and inventory, including being on top of beer inventory, cleansing and stackable products, snacks, pizzas and food we offer, apparel, and items for sale.

  • Communicates to the supervisor everything that is needed to successfully run the Taproom tasks.

  • Writes weekly reports providing information of the personnel executions, situations in the taproom, needs, and any other information related to Raíces. Sends reports via email to administration and supervisor. 

  • Has Bi-weekly formal meetings with supervisor and one-on-one quick meetings every week that enable communications and support to cover needs and resolve situations.

  • Communicates immediately in an emergency through WhatsApp or a phone call, also reports if there is activity at night after closing Raíces in the surroundings. Call the police or 911 if the situation requires it.

  • Helps set-up and oversee music (non-explicit language), artisans, vendors, and programming while maintaining a positive work environment, family oriented and a vision of excellence. 

  • Collaborates with the VP of Development, Programs Assistant Team and the Creative Director to execute and market events in the taproom. 

  • Assists in the implementation and execution of programs. 

  • Is able to legally drive a company vehicle.

  • Accepts deliveries of materials, kegs and packaged beer from Packaging Department and wholesale partners.

  • Delivers products to external accounts using Raíces Brewing Co. vehicle.

  • Supports VP of Development in programming, delivering or bringing articles/art/equipment/supplies/other to the Taproom.

  • Updates Beer menus to reflect current draft and package, and all inventory available in all platforms needed.

  • Assists beer servers with ensuring timely service.

  • Manages and updates POS terminals via POS software.

  • Maintains taproom point-of-sale system, including back end updates and tablet upkeep.

  • Manages online orders(currently through Wix).

  • Manages TableAgent software for reservations.

  • Manages BEVV or any other platform we are using for direct to consumer sales.

  • Handles Curbside sales.

  • Purchases supplies needed. Access to Restaurant Depot, Costco, Groceries, Gas-heaters, Diesel (Raíces Vehicle), etc.

  • Makes bank deposits and ensures enough cash on hand for change is available.

BILINGUAL PROGRAMS ASSISTANT

Raíces Brewing Company is looking to hire an extra detail-oriented and organized Bilingual Program Assistant to support the company’s vision; programming and execution of events; management of email, calendar, contracts, reservations and community programs coordinators through Raices Nacion; coordination of food trucks, visual artists, artisans and vendors; public relations and outreach; and assist in social media posts.

The Program Assistant will be reporting directly to the VP of Development and work in tandem with the Raíces team to perpetuate a positive and proactive work culture. This position is very demanding with an expected work load of 40+ hours per week, 50% remotely and 50% on site. Schedules are subject to change depending on programming requirements week days and weekends. Availability and Flexibility in times are expected.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executing, coordinating, organizing, developing and managing community and cultural events and partnerships. Be able to be present, host and support all events.

  • Manage calendar – create all events related to programming, add food trucks information, beer releases information, reservations and more as requested/needed.

  • Handle and Create bilingual emails, letters and documents as requested/needed.

  • Handling, answering and following up with emails and calls related to events, coordinations and public relations.

  • Manage people related to Artisans, Visual Artists – Raíces Galería, Food Trucks, Performers, Events and more.

  • Maintain accounting system and generate periodic financial reports for the executive team and investors.

CELLAR OPERATOR

(MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY)

Raíces Brewing Company is looking to hire part-time Cellar Operator (Bilingual Spanish/English preferred) with brewing experience to work under the direction of the Head Brewer. The operator is responsible for all aspects of the processes related to fermentation, conditioning, treatment, clarification and carbonation of product. This position requires the ability to synthesize information and intelligently troubleshoot. Dedication to continued improvement, growth, and learning is extremely important. This position has the potential to grow into a brewing position.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow head brewer’s directions in all procedures.

  • Maintain a clean brewery area.

  • Safely follow detailed SOPs for cellaring.

  • Document (via computer and manual logs) cleaning, testing and maintenance tasks.

  • Assist brewers with developing/refining SOPs.

  • Organize & clean all areas of the brewery.

  • Organization of brewery equipment, supplies, and ancillary items.

  • Assist head brewer with day-to-day tasks.

  • Assist with yeast handling/management.

  • Carbonation of beers.

Required Experience

AV TECHNICIAN

 

Raíces Brewing Company is looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Audio-Visual Technician to join our team by part-time contract to support the company’s vision, programming, and live entertainment. The responsibilities of the Audio-Visual Technician include organizing, assembling, transporting and setting up AV equipment. Setting up cameras, lighting, and video equipment, managing sound board, making sure live events are a success.  

 

The Audio-Visual Technician will be reporting directly to the VP of Development and work in tandem with the Raíces team to perpetuate a positive and proactive work culture. This position has an expected work load between 10-25 hours per week depending on programming. Schedules are subject to change depending on programming requirements week days and weekends.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

HEAD BREWER

 

Raíces Brewing Company (RBC) is looking for an experienced Head Brewer. Currently, Raíces Brewing Company produces nearly 800BBLs per year and forecasts a 50% increase in the next year. The Head Brewer will be working under Raíces Brewery Operations Department with the expectation to produce high quality beer in a 15 BBL, 3-vessel, direct-fire system with 120 BBLs of fermentation capacity and 210 BBLs of bright tank capacity. 

 

Position Duties:

  • Oversee all brewing operations, including but not limited to:

  • Brewing Raices’ established core brands/styles.

  • Creating & Managing Production schedules.

  • New recipe development & growth of beer styles

  • Manage & Optimizing all brewing operations.

  • Manage, & Train all aspects of the brewery team.

  • Proficient operations of Canning, Kegging and Bottling Operations.

  • Develop & oversee Quality Assurance programs, systems & procedures.

  • Manage, Inventory, & Control raw ingredients & packaged beer.

Pinchos (Brochetas | Kabobs style) are a cultural food and experience from Latin America and the Caribbean.  RBC Pinchos are made of bite size pieces of meat (pork, chicken), shrimp or veggies cooked BBQ style on a grill. Pincher@s (Grill cooks) help create an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors and admires the grill skills and service from the Grill Cook. The Pincher@ will be cooking top quality food in our open grill space, and help create a fanatic base of Pinchera Raíces through the grilling experience.

 

Grill Cooks are in charge of the organization and cleanliness of the area, equipment(s) and utensils.  Food safety is vital for the quality and sustainability of the grill activity.
