Job Description:

Raíces Brewing Company is looking to hire part-time Beer Servers to support Raíces’ vision, values and culture, while providing a proactive and positive attitude with Raíces team and guests.

 

Beer servers are responsible for providing genuine-respectful hospitality and exceeding guest expectations, exceling community engagement, in addition to provide education about craft beer and beer styles to visitors.


Beer servers will be reporting directly to the Taproom Manager. This position is a part time with an expected work load between 15-32 hours per week. Schedules are subject to change depending on programming and scheduling requirements. Main hours will be after 10 a.m., afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Excellent Guest Services, Maintain Areas Clean, Team work (having each other’s back), Maintain Inventory, clean glassware, fold and reload apparel and shop, use POS Arryved, TIPS Certified.

  • Assists with taproom maintenance, service, and inventory, including apparel and items for sale.

  • Stay updated on current menu choices, features and menu deviations.

  • Keep bar organized, clean and all items dated and rotated properly.

  • Know bar is running out of any items, restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.

  • Work as a team by maintaining a proper taproom experience and ensuring items are delivered timely, customer needs are fulfilled, stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.

  • Possess outstanding customer care and attention to detail.

  • Have extensive product knowledge regarding Raíces Brewing Co. Beers and craft beer in general.

  • Have the knowledge to effectively and efficiently perform the duties of busser, expo and host.

  • Ensure that all menu items are being ran in through Arryved POS system.

  • Completing daily side work and checking out with the Taproom Manager before leaving at the end of shift.

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar, servers and taproom guests.

  • Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

  • Assess customers’ needs, preferences and make recommendations.

  • Pour beer to company and legal guidelines.

  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.

  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

  • Keep track of all employee drinks and meals throughout the shift and ensure that they are rang in correctly.

  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule especially during afternoons, evenings and weekends.

  • Serve and talk about Raíces and its products in a fashion that communicates the brewery’s passion for quality, knowledge, and customer service at all times.

Job Description:

Raíces Brewing Company is looking to hire a part-time Bilingual Program Assistant to support the company’s vision, programming, social media postings, calendar management, public relations and outreach.

 

The Program Assistant will be reporting directly to the VP of Development and work in tandem with the Raíces team to perpetuate a positive and proactive work culture. This position is very demanding with an expected work load between 15-32 hours per week. Schedules are subject to change depending on programming requirements week days and weekends.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist organizing, developing and managing community and cultural events. Be present at designated events.

Create copy (bilingual verbiage) based on Raíces values and pillars (community, culture and cerveza).

Handle postings in Raíces Brewing Co and Suave Fest Social Media outlets: FB Pages, FB Events and Postings in FB and Instagram with the supervision and support of Raíces Creatives and VP of Development.

Handle and Create bilingual emails, letters and documents as requested or needed.

Assist handling, answering and following up with emails. Ask if you need feedback or information to be able to answer.

Manage calendar – create all events related to programming, add food trucks information, beer releases information and more as requested.

Assist in managing people, Information and documents related to Artisans, Visual Artists – Raíces Galería, Food Trucks, Performers and more.

Assist managing Food Trucks under supervision.

Assist coordinating Visual Artists for Raíces Galería under supervision.

Assist coordinating Artisans and other Vendors at Raíces Brewing Co.

Ability to publicly speak at Community and Cultural events at Raíces Brewing Co and beyond.

Assist updating website.

Able to brainstorm ideas, help organize and execute events.

Organization is key! Management of documents, tables, letters, copys, and more.

Outreach to the community when needed. Create rapport with Raíces.

Assist with Festivals, special events and possible partnerships in premises and out of premises.

Opportunity to help manage Raíces Nación – volunteer program and Raíces SEEDS – internship program.

(Cervecería Raíces), our pillars and values, programming, Latino culture, craft beer, beer styles, and Raíces products to visitors in both English and Spanish languages. In addition, they will check-in walk-ins’ visitors, check-in and manage all reservations, serve the to-go orders of guests in-person and online, maintain the vestibule area clean and organized, restock and clean Raíces Store and snacks area, water plants, and support Beer Servers in wrapping items for sale, cleaning tables, placing glassware and trash away, plus helping in maintaining bathrooms and other areas cleaned and organized. Public Speaking will be requested depending on programming, host artists or other invited guests identified by the Administration or Taproom Manager and provide information about Raíces, Raíces products and programming.

Job Description:

 

Raíces Brewing Company is looking to hire part-time Cellar Operator (Bilingual Spanish/English preferred) with brewing experience to work under the direction of the Head Brewer. The operator is responsible for all aspects of the processes related to fermentation, conditioning, treatment, clarification and carbonation of product. This position requires the ability to synthesize information and intelligently troubleshoot. Dedication to continued improvement, growth, and learning is extremely important. This position has the potential to grow into a brewing position.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean brewery area.

  • Safely follow detailed SOPs for cellaring.

  • Document (via computer and manual logs) cleaning, testing and maintenance tasks.

  • Assist brewers with developing/refining SOPs.

  • Organize & clean all areas of the brewery.

  • Organization of brewery equipment, supplies, and ancillary items.

  • Assist head brewer with day-to-day tasks.

  • Assist with yeast handling/management.

  • Carbonation of beers.

  • CIP (clean-in-place) of fermentation vessels, brite tanks and other equipment while following all safety guidelines.

  • Follow/maintain/develop sanitary practices in all aspects of beer processing.

  • Dry hopping 30bbl tanks as well as routine yeast/trub dumps.

  • Quality Assurance activities including Gravity & pH readings, carbonation testing, monitoring fermentations & wort stability.

  • Maintenance and delivery of external accounts.

  • Good representation of Raíces pillars and values.

 

Required Experience

 

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a commercial brewery . ***This is an entry level position***

  • A strong passion for the industry and a desire to advance your personal and professional skills.

  • Basic understanding of brewing concepts (basic brewing and fermentation concepts).

  • Knowledge and experience with cellar tasks including yeast handling, chemical handling, CIP procedures, general cleaning and sanitization.

  • Strong organizational habits, a self-motivated work ethic, and good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic computer literacy with basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel).

  • Willingness to learn and use brewery software. Previous experience a plus.

  • Ability to self-direct and manage time without direct input or supervision.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks sequentially/concurrently without becoming overwhelmed.

  • Ability to work both alone as well as a team.

  • Willingness to perform written scheduling and self-assessment throughout a shift. Most tasks throughout your day will require documentation of some sort.

  • Ability to positively interact with others.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, optimize your daily schedule, and be a team player.

  • Willingness to communicate consistently with supervisor (on-site and remote) using email, text, etc.

  • Willingness to follow all published SOPs/protocols and to assist in the development of new ones.

Variable shift availability is required (including nights and weekends).

Must be 21 y.o. with a valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation.

Must have High School Diploma or GED

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to engage in heavy physical labor including climbing stairs, pulling hoses and scrubbing.

  • Ability to crouch, sit, stand, pull, push, bend, and/or twist while working in confined, wet, hot, and/or cold environments

  • Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for an entire shift.

  • Ability to work in wet, hot, and cold conditions.

  • Ability to work in a consistently loud environment.

  • Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals.

  • Ability to move up to 160 pounds (roll/hand truck) and lift up to 70 lbs.
