Raíces Brewing Company is looking to hire part-time Bilingual (Spanish-English) Servers to support Raíces’ vision, mission, values and culture, while providing a proactive and positive attitude with Raíces team and guests.


Servers are responsible for providing genuine-respectful hospitality and exceeding guest expectations, exceling community engagement, in addition to providing education about beverages, including craft beer and beer styles to visitors.

Servers will be reporting directly to the Taproom Leadership and management. This position is a part time job with an expected workload between 15-32 hours per week. Schedules are subject to change depending on programming and scheduling requirements. Main hours will be after 7 a.m., afternoons, evenings, weekdays and weekends.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent taproom experience ensuring items are delivered accurately, properly managed with quality control, in a timely manner. Customer needs are fulfilled, the work is done guest focused,  nurturing an excellent guest experience.

  • Possess outstanding customer care and attention to detail. Interact with customers in a friendly, effective and helpful manner.

  • Serve beverages correctly and follow the proper guidelines and laws. Beverages includes: alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, beers, cocktails, spirits, and anything assigned. It also involves serving in various forms:  glassware, crowlers, bottles and packages.

  • Serve food and items related to food appropriately, making sure the quality and the serving of food is proper. Cleanliness of the areas we serve food and how we serve them is essential. 

  • Able to follow RBC guidelines in all processes.  

  • Maintain all areas clean including Front of the House, Patios, Back of the House, fridges, employee area, bathrooms, building surrounding areas, picnic area, parking area, and any other area assigned. Occasional cleaning of windows, garage doors, doors, among other items as required (Raíces Maintenance).

  • Able to change kegs and maintain available products coming out of faucets.

  • Inventory, restocking and organizing back of the house, front of the house and store area.

  • Team work (having each other’s back), supporting each other in a collaborative mindset is expected. 

  • Open Communication among the team, supervisors and all administrators is expected. RBC has an open door policy in place. Please follow guidelines.

  • Right use of POS (Arryved or any other platform used at the time).

  • Upsell products including four packs, crowlers and growlers. Do crowlers and growlers, in addition of supporting back of the house in canning days.

  • Maintain and assist on inventory (e.g. all needed products, food, items needed, apparel, items for sale, and glassware), and add item numbers to the inventory in the POS.

  • Clean all glassware and equipment related to food and beverages. 

  • Fold and reload towels, and any item needed at the bar. 

  • Fold and reload apparel and shop.  Maintain the shop clean and attractive showcasing all items we do have in the back for sale.

  • Stay updated on current menu choices, features and menu deviations.

  • Read Newsletters and messages sent in the Front of the House WhatsApp chat to be ready for your shift, share programming information with guests and visitors as possible, set up the taproom correctly for the effective flow of the day, follow instructions from administration and programs coordinators, at the same time that your provide guidance and support to artisans, artists and any other partner as needed. 

  • Learn all RBC products available to provide the right information to our visitors and colleagues. Have extensive product knowledge regarding Raíces Brewing Co. Beers and craft beer in general.

  • Knowledge in bartending. Prepare/serve alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages for bar, and taproom guests. 

  • Keep the bar organized, clean and all items (including crowlers) properly dated/labeled and rotated in the fridges.

  • Communicate and report when the bar is running out of any items, restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. 

  • Responsible for reporting all information related to situations in the taproom or with the products (including when situations with beer and taps occur). Also responsible to report on facility malfunctions or needed maintenance areas or equipments. All failing aesthethic and equipment misfunction details are important to mention.

  • Have the knowledge to effectively and efficiently perform the duties of busser, expo and host.

  • Ensure that ALL menu items are being run in through the Arryved POS system. Every item used should be accounted for in the POS.

  • Completes daily side work and checks out with the Taproom Leadership and Shift Captains, before leaving at the end of shift.

  • Proper Time Management is vital.

  • Assess customers’ needs, preferences and make recommendations. Able to learn and effectively communicate with the public about our products (beer, beverages, food offerings, apparel, programming and Latin culture).

  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.

  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

  • Keep track of all drinks and meals throughout the shift and ensure that they are rang in correctly. This includes employee taps.

  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule especially during afternoons, evenings and weekends.

  • Keep back of the house articles organized. Communicate/Report any missing or   needed items.

  • Manage appropriate Latin music in the Taproom or music assigned for that day depending on programming. Inappropriate music for families and kids is not permitted, servers are accountable for this.

  • Receive deliveries and notify supervisors with specifics (eg. product, # of boxes or items, etc ).

  • Responsible for occasional inventory of products, supplies.

  • Responsible for Raices store merchandise stocking, upkeep and good presentation.

  • Responsible for upkeep of natural plants and cleanliness and presentation of synthetic plants, while reporting any damages.

  • All servers are responsible for reporting any incidents and damages related to visitors, team members or the facility in their shifts. This includes suspicious behaviors within our facilities and its immediate surroundings. Reports should be made by email and chat. In case of emergencies, get a hold of your immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bartender experience. 

  • TIPS Certified is a requirement. We provide information on how to get the certification online.

Pay: $18.29 minimum pay per hour $15.27 base pay + pool tips. (tips are divided for the front of the house team and are adjudicated by the amount of  hours worked)



The Bilingual Taproom Lead (Bilingual Taproom Manager (TM)) oversees the needs of the front of house and manages Front of House (FOH) Team (e.g. servers,shift captains/lead team, hostesses, bussers, and any other member of the front of house group). The TM aligns and implements Raíces Brewing Company (RBC) policies, structures,vision,values and culture, while providing a safe, proactive and positive environment among the team and its guests. The TM is responsible for managing daily taproom operations, including beverage, food, and service processes, optimizing sales and profits, developing and executing Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals, equipment oversight and maintenance, inventory, stocking, and supplies control, effective training, interviewing, supervising and managing Front of the House crew, development and performance of team members, payroll, termination of employments, and any other task related to effectively and successfully covering taproom needs, organization and management. In addition, the TM ensures guest satisfaction and assures the Raíces experience is delivered by management and all team members effectively, providing genuinely respectful hospitality while exceeding guest expectations.

The TM is supervised and will be reporting directly to the COO and is evaluated by the RBC administration/executive management team. The TM works in tandem with the COO and executive team to perpetuate, build and maintain a positive and proactive work culture. This position is very demanding with an expected work load ranging from 40-50 hours per week. Schedules are subject to change depending on the company's needs and programming requirements. Main hours will be during afternoons, evenings, and weekends, although staff and community meetings can happen during daytime hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Taproom Manager: 

  • Provides on-going coaching and appropriate progressive discipline and management to all Front of the House (FOH) Team Members in the brewery, managing appropriate documentation and ensuring each Team Member to achieve clarity in the job tasks, know their current level of performance and expectation level in the job.

  • Increases sales in the taproom by providing the highest levels of uncompromising quality of food, beverage, reception, greeting, atmosphere and service.

  • Coordinates, directs, manages and supervises day-to-day operations to ensure all standards of RBC quality and service are achieved during each shift.

  • Provides orientation and training according to all RBC training systems, standards and manuals for new hires, and develops any training, documentation, manuals needed to cover new standards and policies to be implemented.

  • Communicates all policy changes/updates to the Taproom team, standardizes operations in the taproom through SOP documentation, generates detailed descriptions of functions within the taproom based on best practices and innovative solutions in the form of documentation, Coordinates with the Executive team to review and implement new SOPs as necessary, regularly check in with the Executive team & Taproom team to maintain high morale and team culture.

  • Address performance issues through review processes and determine coaching/mentoring needs to drive improvements and culture

  • Develop the weekly work schedule to leverage the right resource demands of the business.

  • Supervises operations and FOH Team Members to ensure that all cleaning, maintenance, housekeeping and side work duties are accomplished in line with operations standards.

  • Proactively communicates with upper management to share and convey information regarding the operations and the FOH employees. Ensures there are no surprises and all information flows towards the Executive Team. 

  • Interact professionally, tactfully, collaboratively, and effectively with teams, partners, and the general public.

  • Creates a positive, collaborative, respectful and effective work environment with the Executive Team, Back of the House Crew, Programming Team, Marketing Team and Front of the House Team. 

  • Works cohesively with the Executive Team, and management team.

  • Maintains familiarity with all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation standards and ensures all Team Members are following guidelines appropriately.

  • Correctly performs and trains staff in all duties necessary to open/mid shifts tasks/close the venue following, developing, and implementing appropriate Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • TM performs effectively in both the Front of House (FOH) duties and Management duties. 

  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with RBC dress code.

  • Implement high standards of personal appearance and grooming, and compliance with RBC dress code to the team.

  • Acts as an excellent RBC ambassador and public representative at our taproom, out of premises events, festivals, when visiting other locations, breweries,  restaurants, brewers, wholesale partners, retailers and other industry reps.

  • Serves and talks about Raíces and its products in a fashion that communicates the brewery’s passion for quality, knowledge, and customer service at all times.

  • Analyzes taproom performance, employee performance, and provides measurements and implementation to ensure continued proficiency, development, growth while strengthening staff morale.

  • Leads the team to become a solid, goal-oriented, energetic and positively engaged team. Train and develop employees to excel in their tasks and roles.  Motivate crew members to continuously improve; exceed expectations in their work, build good rapport among the team and towards the company, provide excellent service for the guests; passionately uphold and elevate a positive work environment for employees, guests and visitors.

  • Helps interview, hire and train qualified crew members, assemble skilled and cohesive teams, manage individual and team performance and schedules, provide developmental opportunities, promote teamwork and cooperation, evaluate, provide guidance, and supervise team members in conjunction with supervisor and RBC executives.

  • Develops tests to make sure the Front of the House team knows Raíces products, descriptions and understanding of  programming.

  • Performs audits and proper evaluations to make sure processes are being implemented and followed correctly.

  • Effective leadership and handling of staff issues including disciplinary actions/firing as needed to foster a healthy work environment, have the best outcome resolutions and promote positive change and growth for employees.

  • Attends required training sessions critical to the position.

  • Provides information about RBC’s importance and pillars by going to tables and creates/builds relationships with guests and visitors.

  • Handles and conducts fun, safe and energetic tours and communication of groups visiting the taproom/brewpub. 

  • Encourages the company's pride, ownership, accountability, integrity, value, respect and communication within Raíces FOH crew members.

  • Manages and is responsible for taproom maintenance, service, inventories and purchases related to FOH.

  • Writes weekly reports providing information of the personnel executions, situations in the taproom, needs, and any other information related to RBC FOH operations. Sends reports via email to

  • Write immediate reports when situations arise.

  • Meets bi-weekly formally for meetings with supervisors and weekly for one-on-one brief meetings to enable communications and support to cover needs and resolve situations.

  • Meets with Raíces executive team, management, supervisor, HR and crew teams as needed. 

  • Able to facilitate meetings and provide information for FOH crew members.

  • Communicates immediately for emergencies through WhatsApp or by phone call. Also, reports if there is activity at night after closing at RBC surroundings. Call the police or 911, if the situation requires it.

  • Helps set-up and oversee music (non-explicit language), artisans, vendors, and programming while maintaining a positive family-oriented work environment.

  • Collaborates with supervisor, programs coordinators assistant team, and the marketing creative director to execute and market events/products in the taproom. 

  • Assists in the implementation and execution of programs at RBC. 

  • Drives Raíces vehicle when needing to pick up supplies and inventory items, or delivering RBC products. 

  • Also drives RBC vehicles to bring items to events, festivals or any related activities.

  • Accepts deliveries of partner distributors (food, beverage, general products and materials), kegs and any other items purchased online.

  • Buys all supplies needed: Usually through Restaurant Depot, Costco Business, US Foods, Webstaurant, Amazon, various grocery stores and more.

  • Updates menus online, on screens, on POS and other platforms when needed to reflect current products and all inventory available. Keep track of Taproom Inventory.

  • Maintains, manages and updates POS terminals, software and hardware.

  • Manages online orders.

  • Handles curbside sales.

  • Makes bank deposits to the Taproom Bank Account and provides petty cash change.

  • Ensures tracking and reporting procedures are in place and being followed.

  • Verifies that the hours reported by team members are complete and according to the assigned schedule. Provides information for the bi-weekly payroll of FOH.

  • Prepares accurate weekly tip and labor hour documentation of FOH employees with timely reporting

  • FOH schedule creation and management, ensuring coverage, covering shifts as needed.  Manage any scheduling conflicts, no-shows, callouts, etc.

  • TheTM will safely, responsibly, and enthusiastically tend the bar while serving as a role model with integrity, fun, upbeat, welcoming, collaborative and inviting attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Raíces Brewing Company is looking to hire a Part-Time Bilingual and Bicultural Communications & Marketing Associate (CMA) to support the company’s vision, programming, and pillars: Community, Culture and Cerveza using both languages Spanish and English.

The CMA accomplishes communications and presentation of our brand, creates a variety of digital external and internal marketing and communication projects, manages social media postings, creates website content and management, press releases, documents needed for public relations and outreach, present and analyze marketing strategies to engage the general community with Raíces, creates beautiful and intentional reports, scripts, documents and emails as needed for the administration and outreach purposes. The CMA is responsible to establish relationships, send materials and information to media outlets to continue bringing new clientele to Raíces.
The Part-Time
Communications & Marketing Associate will be reporting directly to the COO and work in tandem with the Raíces Creative team and administration to perpetuate a positive and proactive work culture. The position is created with a creative, problem-solving, fast-paced and problem-solver personality in mind with an expected work load of approx. 10-20 hours per week.

Schedules are subject to change depending on programming requirements during week days and weekends. Time flexibility, reachability and availability are required for this position at all times, in addition to be creative, open minded and able to receive inputs and feedback from supervisor and administrators.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create written and visual content and manage organization’s social media efforts. This includes managing social media content and daily posting on multiple social media platforms.

  • Manage the Marketing and Social Media Calendars – create all fb events related to programming and pillars: Community, Culture, Cerveza.

  • Assist Admin, Creative Team and Programs Assistant with marketing needed.

  • Write marketing and communication materials including emails, documents, press releases, blogs, website content and management, and reports.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

Opportunity for community members to become volunteers, coordinators and ambassadors at Raíces Brewing Co. Individuals can get involved with community and cultural events at Raíces, provide support and take care of specific needs or tasks, plus participate in community outreach.

Example of Volunteer Opportunities:

Involved in leading/co-coordinating programming such as:

  • Karaoke nights - 1st Thursdays of each month

  • Lotería Familiar (Lotería Mexicana) - Domingos Familiares

  • Dominos game night (once a month on a Wednesday)  and competitions (Domingos Familiares)

  • Crafts – handmade activities/workshops

  • Activities or events for kids

  • Sports

  • Educational

  • Cultural or Traditional programming

  • Documentaries / Movies at Raices 

  • Interviews

  • Caribbean or Latin American Percussion, music, instrumentation

  • Dance, Zumba, Yoga, Aerobics etc. Classes

  • ​Share knowledge Meetups 

Host, greeters, help set-up, and take down community or cultural events

Working at Booths at Raíces or Community events

Lead for Spanish Meetups, Community Meetups, Sharing knowledge opportunities

Community outreach, community cleanups, working at Booths in community events, festivals or meetings.

Hands-on helper: paint fences, clean areas, electrician, clean windows, help labeling crowlers, etc.

Pick up and drop off artists (when applicable)
